March Knits!

This month I made the Cutest Baby Sweater, hat and socks. Kits were from www.fancyimageyarn.com . Work in progress the entrelac scarf, v-neck sweater and a baby hat. YUM!

Cupcake Beanie!

This was a kit by Debby Ware. Curtis gave me this kit for Valentines Day. It is baby size and so much better in person! YUM!!

January Knits! Something for ME!

OK something for me! I made myself this hoodie from pattern Knitting Pure and Simple. It's a bit snug so hopefully after I wash it I'm able to block it to fit. The yarn is from my local yarn shop and is hand dyed. From the pictures you can't tell how beautiful the color really is. Nice and cozy since it's made with worsted weight wool. Yum! The little yellow thing is a Soap Sweater, basically a little sack for soap. (gee we have a small kitchen huh)

December Knits

Here are my finished projects that I made for Christmas gifts. Ruffles and Ridges shawl, for our Neice, hats, and socks for Nephews, Neices, and my Dad, and Kitty Pi for my three brat cats.

I forgot to show pictures of the socks I made for Curtis and myself which were made in Christmas colors.

Knitting Pure and Simple poncho

OK just to prove that I did some knitting in September....I knit this poncho for Leah, a co-w0rker's Daughter. I just love this color and Leah looks great in this red. Thanks Jen for the pictures! (hmmm why don't they show, but if you click on the boxes the pictures show in a seperate window)

Felting!

My first attempt at felting. I am felting a flapped hat for Curtis and a tote for myself. Here are some before pictures of both.

My Sleeved Poncho

Ahh finally something for ME!! This is a sleeved poncho from Mary Maxim catalog. It's so soft and I can't wait for fall so I can wear this all the time!!

Neck down Cardigan

The baby cardigan to match the blanket I made previously. The pattern is from Knitting Pure and Simple and it was very easy to follow! This is a six month size, but I'm almost finished a 12 month size.

"Suede" booties

Suede booties from the show on DIY Knitty Gritty. These go with the hat posted below. They measure 3-6 months but I think because there is a lot of stretch a 1 year old could fit them.

Baby Blanket

Whew made this baby blanket in six days! I got the pattern from Creative Knitting magazine and used my favorite yarn from www.fancyimageyarn.com Finished it measures 34 x 36 it's so soft I can't wait to start a hooded cardigan in the same colors.

Lacy Shrug

This is a Lacy Shrug, took me under a week. It's made with two skeins of Kid Merino and size 10 1/2 needles. You can't really see the ruffles but on the sleeves are ruffles same with the body opening. This project I was comissioned by Tera, who is the one wearing the shrug here in the picture. I think she looks great in it. I really don't know if I could pull it off, but looks great on her! I'm glad that she's enjoying it!!

Toddler Poncho

This is a very cute poncho and should fit up to 24 months. Made with Bernat Baby Lash. It's sooooo soft! My CPK is drowning in the poncho haha.

Mittens!

I found mittens were a bit like socks to make. I also made these with Fancy Image hand dyed DK weight yarn.

SOCKS SOCKS SOCKS!!!

Oh boy socks are too much fun to make!!! Pictured are the ruffle socks and various baby socks. I got the ruffle sock pattern from Fancy Image Yarn. All socks are made with Fancy Image hand dyed DK weight yarn. It's awesome to work with!! The brown pair are socks that I made for my Dad. It's his Father's day gift. Those are made with worsted weight yarn. And what to do when you're down to the smallest ball of yarn....well make minature socks of course!! They make great ornaments and cat toys.

Baby Hats

The brown hat was from the show Knitty Gritty. I had to improvise since I had the wrong size of yarn. I also need to redu the "bill" of the hat and make it a little bit bigger.

I just finished the Fruit Top hat pattern by Ann Norling. I think it turned out pretty good! This was the first time I had to carry yarn in the back.
Just finished the pumpkin hat, how cute is that!

Ruth's Reversible Hat

This hat was supposed to have two different colors on the end. It's double layered and my Husband loves it!

A Mustachio Hat!

Here is Phoebe wearing a mustachio hat. Amazingly she wore it for a long time it didn't bother her. But it really freaked out Toby.

Here are just a couple socks that I've made. It was a our seven year anniversary and the traditional gift was WOOL! So we both got new socks!!

A Fun Fur Vest!

I made this fun fur vest, it's very cute! But I didn't do a gauge and it turned out a bit wider than I expected. SO I think I'll pick up some stitches along the bottom just to even it out. OR maybe add some short sleeves and make it into a shrug.
